Our Team
Catherine (Cathy) Williams, VMD
Veterinarian, Owner
Professional background: I have always loved animals and was fortunate enough to combine this love with my passion for science by becoming a veterinarian. I have worked in many different practices over the years, which has given me a unique perspective. Every veterinarian has their way of doing things. A treatment considered wrong in one practice might be used successfully in another! Knowing this has enabled me to become more open-minded and flexible in my approach.
I am committed to providing the highest quality, most up-to-date medical and surgical treatments. However, over thirty years of practice have taught me that simple remedies and tinctures over time can cure many illnesses without the need for expensive testing.
Family: I have been married to David Williams (Professor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois) for 33 years. David is currently researching weight loss in geriatric cats. We have one son, Harold, who received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley. He is now dividing his time between two jobs, one with a start-up company developing software for driverless cars and the other as a postdoc in Mathematics at UC Berkeley.
He was married this past fall to a lovely woman with whom he has been in a relationship for several years. We are thrilled to welcome her to our family. We have three cats, several of whom vomit regularly, and one elderly dog recently adopted from Hospice Hearts. This rescue group finds homes for pets whose owners have either passed away or gone into nursing homes.
Other interests: I have always enjoyed art and drawing with pastels. Several of my pet portraits are on display in our hospital. I also enjoy horseback riding and, of course, being with my family.

Robin Hadley, DVM
Veterinarian
I have been practicing in central Illinois since graduation in 2000 and I joined Mahomet Animal Hospital in October 2020. My goal is to provide compassionate, realistic treatment to cats and dogs of all life stages. In addition to private practice, I have worked in low-cost, high volume mobile clinics, and have collaborated within my community to provide access to affordable veterinary care. I represent Illinois in the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, a professional organization devoted to the advancement of animal welfare. I am presently seeking certification in low-stress handling and veterinary acupuncture. My husband, Carl, and I moved to Mahomet in 2014, with our cats, dogs, and horses. We both love to explore the beautiful parks in our community on foot, bicycle, or kayak.
